From now until 31 March, The Okura Prestige Bangkok has two unique promotions designed to delight and invigorate. You can unwind with a relaxing spa treatment or take in an afternoon tea inspired by Japan’s Tsubaki camellia blossoms at the hotel.
Lovely Tsubaki at Up & Above Bar
Tsubaki is in full bloom in Japan during this time of the year. Seen as a symbol of perfection and love, the pastry chefs at Up & Above Bar have taken this concept and created floral flavours to delight the senses with delicate notes in a selection of herbal infusions and teas.
Guests can indulge in sweet delights that include seasonal Daifuku, Tsubaki macarons, Tsubaki tea cake, rhubarb crumble tart, almond crunchy chocolate truffle, cream roll and blackcurrant montblanc. Scones and savoury are also offered as part of the set. The Tsubaki-inspired treats are a perfect companion with a cup of freshly brewed Mariage Frères tea or rich illy coffee. It also pairs beautifully with a glass of Sake, chilled Champagne or Prosecco.
Tsubaki Camellia Blossoms Afternoon Tea is available from 2 pm to 5 pm at Up & Above Bar until 31 March 2018. The Okura Prestige Bangkok presents the smoothie spa
The Smoothie Retreat package currently offered at The Okura Spa on the 25th floor of The Okura Prestige Bangkok until 31 March features the use of strawberries. The fruit is rich in vitamin C and known to be good for the skin as it fights off free radicals that steal oxygen from healthy cells and destroy collagen. The strawberry is also very efficient in reducing blemishes and acne scars because it contains skin-lightening extracts.
This reviving treatment starts with a 30-minute Strawberry Smoothie Foaming Salt Scrub that exfoliates the skin and prepares it for the massage to come. The scrub is followed by a soothing 60-minute massage using an essential oil from the Tsubaki camellia flower from Japan where it is revered.
